Our service
Wheels for Wellness provides non-emergency medical transportation only. We offer three types of transport: wheelchair transport for passengers in manual chairs, power chairs, or scooters; stretcher transport for passengers who need to lie down; and ambulatory transport for passengers who can walk but need a ride and a steady hand. We provide rides to and from medical appointments, treatments, and facility transfers. We are not an ambulance service and do not provide emergency medical care. In an emergency, call 911.
Booking and confirmation
A ride request is not confirmed until you receive a confirmation from us with your pickup window and driver details. Same-day rides are available when our schedule allows and are not guaranteed.
Passenger responsibilities
Passengers travel in their own wheelchair, scooter, or on their own stretcher as their care team advises. For ambulatory rides, passengers should be able to walk with limited assistance. You agree to share accurate pickup and destination information and any details the driver needs to assist you safely.
Payment
Private-pay pricing is quoted before your trip. Payment is due at the time of your ride by cash, check, or card. Facility accounts are invoiced monthly. You agree to pay any charges not covered by a facility account.
Cancellations
Please cancel as early as possible so we can offer the time to another rider. Repeated no-shows may affect future scheduling.
Limitation of liability
We provide transportation only. We are not responsible for medical care, medical decisions, or outcomes of your appointment. Our liability is limited to the cost of the transportation service provided.
